My career journey has been anything but typical, and that’s exactly what makes it exciting! I’ve worn many hats—from deploying overseas in Baghdad and Kuwait, which taught me resilience and adaptability, to diving headfirst into the fast-paced world of television news during the pandemic. Through multiple internships in TV news, I’ve learned how to craft stories that connect, produce live broadcasts, and adapt quickly when breaking news hits.
In the sports world, I started part-time with the Saints and Pelicans before moving up to a full time role where I gained hands-on experience editing for video boards, broadcasts, and social media. Along the way, I developed a keen eye for detail and storytelling, whether it’s capturing a game-winning moment or producing content under tight deadlines.
I’m passionate about visual storytelling in all its forms, whether it’s breaking news, live sports, or creating engaging social media content. My diverse background has given me the ability to stay calm under pressure, think creatively, and deliver high-quality work no matter the environment. I’m always ready to tackle new challenges and bring fresh perspectives to any project.
I started part-time on the game night staff for the Saints and Pelicans, working exclusively on game nights. From there, I transitioned to a Video Production Assistant role, where I primarily handled logging footage and occasionally supported shoots. Eventually, I advanced to Video Production Associate, gaining hands-on experience editing content for video boards, broadcasts, and social media across both football and basketball. This progression gave me a well-rounded understanding of sports media production and the fast-paced environment of professional sports.
Starting this postition during the pandemic, I quickly adapted to new challenges by finding creative ways to present difficult and often depressing news in a way that kept viewers engaged and informed. I wrote and edited 5 minute, 30-minute and hour-long newscasts. I have experience in wall-to-wall coverage of hurricanes, presidential elections, and major local events. I also have experience producing from the field using LIVE U technology. This position sharpened my ability to work under pressure, think on my feet, and tell important stories with clarity and impact.
